These are a highly toxic insecticides for all adult insects, although of low hazard to humans and other mammals, so its can safely be used in confined spaces. Pyrethroids are a group of neurotoxic insecticides, which means that at the time of finding its way into the body of an insect either by contact or through ingestion, they paralyse the insect’s nervous system causing dementia and finally death. Pyrethroids are characterised by high insecticidal activity at lower temperatures. The compounds from this group are also characterized by a fairly good volatility.
